“Chigiri” completion and delivery

TSUNEISHI FACILITIES & CRAFT CO., LTD. (HQ: 1471-8 Urasaki-cho, Onomichi, Hiroshima; President: Jun Kambara) completed the construction of the 19 GT aluminium alloy passenger vessel “Chigiri” and delivered it to TOHO ZINC Co., Ltd. Chigirishima Smelter and Refinery on June 17, 2016.

The ship owner, TOHO ZINC Co., Ltd. Chigirishima Smelter and Refinery, produces silver and lead on Chigiri Island, which is located approximately four kilometres offshore of Takehara City, Hiroshima Prefecture. The vessel entered service on June 27, 2016 for a sea route connecting Osakikamijima, Chigiri Island, and Takehara to transport visitors as well as commuting employees.
